Heating Equipment
The polyimide (Kapton) heaters produced by Sinton are widely used for heating precision instruments with temperatures up to 260°C. The versatile thin-film heaters have become the ultimate solution for many applications with demanding performance requirements.
Polyimide (Kapton) film, an organic material, offers exceptionally high dielectric properties, a flexible thin profile, and low thermal mass, while providing superior resistance to most solvents, acids, and radiation. Transparent in nature, polyimide (Kapton) heaters allow for easy visual inspection of internal foil circuit structures. Combining these characteristics, polyimide (Kapton) heaters are ideal for the following applications:
1.Instrument heating where space and weight are critical constraints
2.Exposure to chemicals or petroleum
3.Operation in vacuum environments requiring low outgassing
4.Rapid and precise heating
5.Low-voltage and low-ohm heating films (e.g., 5V, 12V, 24V)
6.High-performance heating for electronic devices
Foil Element:
Polyimide (Kapton) heaters utilize an extremely thin (e.g., 50μm) etched metal foil—typically nickel-based alloy—as the resistive element. The desired resistance pattern is designed in CAD and transferred onto the foil, which is then processed through acid spraying to create the precise resistive circuit.
By leveraging etched foil technology, complex thermal profiles and a wide range of resistance values can be achieved. A dual-wire serpentine circuit arrangement is also feasible, often employed to eliminate parasitic inductance in the circuit.
Applications:
1. Medical diagnostic equipment: hot sample plate, reagent bottle, CPAP ventilator, humidifier, etc.
2. Stabilize the photoelectric element
3. Can operate outdoor electronic products in cold weather, such as laptops, light boxes, ATMs
4. Protect the aircraft's electronic and mechanical equipment in cold weather/areas
5. Semiconductor manufacturing process
6. Electric vehicle battery preheating
