Polyimide film heaters, also known as polyimide heaters or Kapton heaters, are equipped with temperature sensing elements and can provide solutions for fields such as thermal materials. They are suitable for scenarios where space and weight are limited, as well as situations where they will come into contact with a vacuum, oil, or chemicals. They can heat low-temperature chips to an appropriate temperature. These heaters use etched metal foil heating technology for fast and effective heat transfer. They come with acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive for easy installation. They are also resistant to acids and solvents and can be used in a vacuum environment. They have excellent electrical insulation properties, low heat capacity, and long-term reliability, and can work properly even under extreme conditions that require bending. Key features of Film heaters include:
1.Mechanical properties: The tensile strength exceeds 100MPa, and some can reach around 200MPa, far exceeding that of ordinary plastic films, and it can withstand a large tensile force. It has good flexibility and can be bent multiple times with a small radius, adapting to folding actions.
2. Thermal properties: The long-term operating temperature exceeds 200°C, and high-performance products can stably operate above 300°C. The coefficient of thermal expansion is low, approximately (2 - 5)×10⁻⁶/°C, which is close to that of metals and fits well with metals under high-temperature conditions.
3. Electrical properties: The volume resistivity exceeds 10¹⁵Ω·cm, and the dielectric constant is between 3.0 and 4.0, with excellent insulation performance. The dielectric loss tangent value is between 0.002 and 0.005, resulting in low energy loss during signal transmission at high frequencies.
4. Chemical properties: It is resistant to most organic solvents, acids, and alkalis. It is radiation-resistant and maintains stable performance under high-energy particle and ultraviolet radiation.
Other properties: It has self-extinguishing properties, extinguishing immediately after being away from the fire source, ensuring high safety. It has good dimensional stability, with minimal dimensional changes under varying temperature and humidity conditions.
